• MARKET HARBOROUGH BAPTIST CHURCH

  • Market Harborough Baptist Church appointed CPL to address a number of issues which are common to historic church buildings.  The vestibule was small, cold and presented access issues due to heavy and narrow solid doors.  The back of the sanctuary was cold and draughty and the sanctuary was poorly lit, difficult to heat and in need of refurbishment and roof repairs.  We were able to meet the brief within the client's constrained budget.  The sanctuary roof was upgraded and insulated, a new lighting scheme was installed and all pews, joinery and walls were redecorated.  The vestibule was reordered, with new glazed oak entrance doors with draught seals fitted, and a warm air curtain was integrated into a new suspended ceiling with new lighting to create a warmer, welcoming and more accessible entrance to this attractive Victorian chapel.
